DESC: The gather information skill is used as the name implies....to gather information. A character exercises this skill by using discrete contacts and persuasion.
The DM sets the difficulty that the target must save against. There are modifiers that determines the base save based on how well known the information is, racial differences between user and group population being asked and the reputation of the user.
Difficulties
- Known to a kingdom - Fair
- Known to a city - Moderate
- Known to a city group - Hard
- Known to a private group - Arduous
- Known to a person - Extreme
