Attitude
A Hippogriff can be cautious with creatures it has never been exposed to. If threatened they will fight unless the creature is too dangerous and then the Hippogriff will flee. Hippogriffs are the offspring of a Griffon and a Mare (female horse) or other Hippogriffs. They will give birth to live young and care for them for about 1 to 2 years when they are old enough to fly. In the wild they live in higher mountain aeries with others in herds. During birthing and the raring of offspring they migrate to high plains until the young learn to fly.
Leadership
All Hippogriff herds are lead by a large male Hippogriff.
Encounter Tactics
In combat a Hippogriff will charge and attack with its talons and beak.
Encounter Count
1 Stud or Mare
2 to 3 Mare and Foals
4 to 100 a herd
Trainable
A Hippogriff can be trained and make good flying mounts.
