A medium-sized scaled humanoid female with snakes for hair. The face is very human in appearance with a small slightly upturned nose. The mouth has a forked tongue and a set of fangs that can inject a poisonous bite. Her eyes are serpentine and golden in color. The rest of her body is that of a scaled humanoid.
Gorgons are only female and so must be able to find a male of another species to breed with. Gorgons can breed with any species of male that is within one size category of her size. But will only select one she can physically control. This is not an envious position as a Gorgon will often kill and eat the male. Legends exist that sometimes the Gorgon becomes enamored with a specific male and will keep him alive, breeding often over many years. At some point though the Gorgon will lose interest and use her gaze to petrify her lover and preserve his form. Such victims are kept as a cherished mementos and a Gorgon will acquire many over her life time. The offspring of such relationships are always female. These young Gorgon stay with their mother until they are old enough to breed and are chased out of their mothers lair.
Gorgons do not have any leadership. Each has their own lair and offspring are chased away once they are old enough to breed.
Encounter Tactics
Gorgon spend most of their time in their lairs or hunting food. To gain a mate the gorgon will hunt for one, taking them when they want and using their infamous petrification gaze to secure a male from any that get in her way. If a target fights to much the gorgon will use her poisonous bite to subdue the male so she can drag him away to her lair.
Encounter Count

Training a Gorgon is reserved for those that desire life as a pigeon stand.
