Appearance
The jaguar is a short limb-ed and well muscled cat. Its fur has a base color that ranges from a tawny yellow to a reddish brown and becomes paler in the under regions. Its body is also covered in spots called rosettes that range from solid dark colors to dark circles with a darker yellow or orange-yellow on the inside inside. Eye color is yellow to orange.
The jaguars has the most powerful bite of all of the big cats and it is able to bite threw the shell of a turtle, the heaviest bones and even the skulls of its prey.
Its short limbs also provide it with exceptional climbing and swimming skills.
Black jaguars are not uncommon. The base coat is black to near black and the spots are almost invisible.
Attitude
Jaguars are solitary animals that are very rarely seen together outside of a mother and her cubs, or a mating pair. The females are more tolerant than the males of another cat in its territory, but direct conflict is often avoided, unless an intruder refuses to leave an others territory. Female territories often overlap a little but males do not. A male will also try to maintain a proximity to at least 3 female territories.

Jaguars do not have any known leadership.

The jaguar is a skilled stalker and will sneak up on it prey and launch a quick attack. When it does attack it will go for the head of its target and bite through the skull for a quick kill.
