Attitude
Gorillas are also highly intelligent and can learn sign language if properly taught. They are also know to play, laugh, grieve and will use simple tools when problem solving access to food. They are reclusive but peaceful unless they feel threatened. The the large silver back male will attack and if needed he will be backed up by younger adult males called black backs. Females will only attack to protect their young and will otherwise run and hide if the males are losing. Young gorillas are born helpless and depend on their mothers for everything. Once weened the rest of the group, even the silver back, will help raise the young if the mother has died.
Leadership
Gorillas are lead by a large silver backed male.
Encounter Tactics
Gorillas avoid conflict when possible and will move off into more rugged terrain. If pressed or one of the group is being attacked, the large silver back will attack and the black backs may assist him.
Encounter Count
5-30 Group - at least half are females with children, the rest are young adults. Half the young adults are black backs and of course there is always one silver back.
Trainable
