Appearance
The Gibbon is a long armed ape with medium long black fur and dark eyes. They live most of their lives in the trees and heavily forested areas. The feet of the Gibbon has two of their toes partially joined by a membrane. They also have a large sack of skin just under the chin that can swell to near the size of their head to use for their very loud vocalizations. The Red Ash gibbon is modeled after the Siamang Gibbon.
Attitude
Gibbons are very social animals with a strong sense of territory. When gibbons from another group are spotted near ones border the gibbons will engage in a vocal duel. If they invade the gibbons territory a high speed chase ensues with slaps and bits happening at high speeds in the tree canopy.
Leadership
Gibbons have an alpha male and live in family groups.
Encounter Tactics
Gibbons will generally not confront animals larger and more dangerous than itself, but it will throw objects (sticks, branches, etc.) down on intruders in its territory to chase them off. If pressed gibbons will use their speed, agility and amazing jumps in the treetops to evade and harass them.
Encounter Count
1 bachelor/bachelorette
2-6 family group
Trainable
Gibbons are highly trainable, but can not be a mount.
