DESC: Doctor is a more advanced skill than healer. It grants better diagnostic abilities to the user and a knowledge of the body, illnesses, infections and parasites for their race and implement long term treatment. A character may take this skill more than once to add additional races. Treatment is a skill check depending on the difficulty of the issue.

Example Issues:

  • Common Infections, Illness, Parasites: Fair Difficulty
  • General Poisons: Moderate Difficulty
  • Uncommon Infections, Illness, Parasites: Moderate Difficulty
  • Uncommon Poisons: Hard Difficulty
  • Rare Infections, Illness, Parasites: Hard Difficulty
  • Rare Poisons: Arduous Difficulty
  • Exotic Infections, Illness, Parasites: Arduous Difficulty
  • Exotic Poisons: Extreme Difficulty

Additional Modifiers:

  • Similar Race to one known: +1 skill difficulty (moderate becomes hard)
  • Unlike Race to one known: +2 skill difficulty (moderate becomes arduous)

Recovery time can vary and can be set by the DM.

A user can fail this roll three times before the target dies, loses ability points, power levels and/or, powers.
