A rewrite of the Red Ash powers is well under way. A number of enhancements will make them much better than the current power system and how they are structured.

I will post my progress as time goes on.

The powers rewrite is done. I have removed a few of the powers for now, Mainly alternate form and all the summoning powers. I will re-introduce these later after I have added more creatures. About half of the remaining powers have been modified heavily.

The category system has been modified and now include a Usage, Type and Form. Usage is a rule system for determining the condition that a given power can be used. Type is a description of the area that a power is applied to and form is the presentation of the power.

As an example a power may have

Breath Weapon, Damage
PAP: 6
MAP: 2
Usage: Activated
Type: Damage, Energy
Form: Bolt (Acid, Cold, Electrical, Fire or, Sonic)
Base Cost: -600
Damage: 1
Range: 3
Area: 0
Difficulty: Health
Save: Agility
Form: Ray (Acid, Cold, Electrical, Fire or, Sonic)
Base Cost: -800
Damage: 1
Range: 3
Difficulty: Health
Save: Agility
Form: Cone (Acid, Cold, Electrical, Fire or, Sonic)
Base Cost: -1000
Damage: 1
Range: 3
Width: 1
Difficulty: Health
Save: Agility
Description: This power originates from the mouth of its user and is aimed at a target space. Everyone caught within its area of effect is subject to the damage unless they win a difficulty  save. If they win the difficulty they are only subjected to half damage (round up). Also if they  have prepared movement and make the difficulty they can move outside of the powers area. If the area is larger than the movement left to the target, they must spend the next turns movement at a cost of 1 PAP per space moved. If they are exhausted then they can not move and are subject to the normal half damage.

Cost per damage: -200 per +1 damage
Cost per range: -150 per +1 space
Cost per area: -125 per +1 space
Cost per width: -250 per +1 space
Cost per difficulty:-500 per +1 difficulty

Breath Weapon, Effect
PAP: 2
MAP: 6
Usage: Activated
Type: Effect
Form: Cone (Charm, Confusion, Fatigue, Fear, Paralyzed, Petrified, Poisoned, Sleep, Slowed, Stunned)
Base Cost: -1000
Range: 3
Width: 1
Difficulty: Power
Save: Agility
Description: This power originates from the mouth of its user and is aimed at a target space. Everyone caught within its area of effect is subject to the effect of the breath weapon unless they win a difficulty save. If they win the difficulty they avoid its effect.

Cost per range: -200 per +1 space
Cost per width: -250 per +1 space
Cost per difficulty:-500 per +1 difficulty

The database is almost done. I have one table left to input data into and will then begin work on the scripts used to display the new powers information.
