characters and unit use the standup action to right themselves after being knocked prone. Using this action does not incure an attack of oppertunity from any opponent within reach of you.

If you were on a mount that was knocked prone the mount will only take a standup action and you (the rider) must make a moderate ride check to stay mounted.

A character/unit may also use the charge rules to standup and attack, with the same negatives listed there.
