Grapple

Grapple is a melee attack used to restrain either part of the body, all of the body or, the weapon of a defender. If the attack is successful, then the defender suffers from the effect of being grappled. The initial grapple roll is the Attackers: attack + melee levels + 1d20 vs the defenders: agility + melee levels + 1d20
A successful grapple of part of the body:
- leg restricts movement to 1 space/turn
- head restricts movement and attack, -4 to each
Limbs grant the attack a bonus to maintain th grapple via leverage. +6 to maintain.
A successful grapple of the body:
- Attacker can pin the defender on the ground - A pin grants a +4 to maintain
- Attack can leverage limbs and cause damage - cause damage +1 per round
- Attack can restrict breathing/blood flow causing the target to become unconscious. this is like the constrict power
A successful grapple of a weapon:
- weapon arm makes attacking impossible
- shield arm neutralizes the shield
Attacker gains a +3 to maintain grapple
After a successful grapple has occured, the attack can chose to maintain or release the grapple. To maintain the grapple win this roll, Attackers:attack + melee levels + 1d20 + any bonuses vs An Defenders: Escape Check
